Earthquakes

                                                                  Earthquakes

Many people die when there occurs high Richter scale of earthquake. It is still impossible to stop earthquake but we can minimize the loss that is caused by earthquakes. Earthquakes are very harmful for living things. Earthquakes destroys  human assets as well as their life.

Earthquakes are caused by the movement of the earth's tectonic plates. Earthquakes occur where the earth's plates meet along plate boundaries. For example as two plates move towards each other, one can be pushed down under the other one into the mantle. If this plate gets stuck it causes a lot of pressure on surrounding rocks. When this pressure is released it produces shock waves. These are called seismic waves. This is an earthquake. The waves spread out from the point where the earthquake started - the focus. More damage is done near the focus. The point on the earth's surface directly above the focus is the epicenter.

The earthquake effects humans in many ways. The effects of earthquakes vary. This is a result of a variety of factors such as the strength of the earthquake, the level of population in an area and the level of economic development of the area struck. The magnitude (size) of an earthquake is measured using a seismometer. This is a machine that measures movements in the earth's surface. The Richter scale  measures earthquakes on a logarithmic scale - this means that an earthquake of 6 is ten times more powerful than one with a score of 5. Higher the richter scale more dangerous it is for human.

Exotic species

                                                       Exotic species

Native species are those plants and animals that are part of a specific geographic area, and have ordinarily been a part of that particular biological landscape for a lengthy period of time. They are well adapted to their local environment and are accustomed to the presence of other native species within the same general habitat. Exotic species, however, are interlopers. These species are introduced into new environments by way of human activities, either intentionally or accidentally. These interlopers are viewed by the native species as foreign elements. They may cause no obvious problems and may eventual be considered as natural as any native species in the habitat. However, exotic species may also seriously disrupt delicate ecological balances and may produce a plethora of unintended yet harmful consequences.

The worst of these unintended yet harmful consequences arise when introduced exotic species put native species in jeopardy by preying on them. This can alter the natural habitat and can cause a greater competition for food. Species have been biologically introduced to environments all over the world, and the most destructive effects have occurred on islands. Introduced insects, rats, pigs, cats, and other foreign species have actually caused the endangerment and extinction of hundreds of species during the past five centuries. Exotic species are certainly a factor leading to endangerment.

Global climate change

                                              Global climate change

The scientific community has reached a strong consensus regarding the science of global climate change. The world is undoubtedly warming. This warming is largely the result of emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases from human activities including industrial processes, fossil fuel combustion, and changes in land use, such as deforestation.

Continuation of historical trends of greenhouse gas emissions will result in additional warming over the 21st century. Current projections point to a global  increase of 2.0°F to 11.5°F (1.1°C to 6.4°C) by 2100, with warming in the U.S. expected to be even higher. This warming will have real consequences for the United States and the world, for with that warming will also come additional sea-level rise that will gradually inundate coastal areas and increase beach erosion and flooding from coastal storms, changes in precipitation patterns, increased risk of droughts and floods, threats to biodiversity, and a number of potential challenges for public health.
Addressing climate change is no simple task. To protect ourselves, our economy, and our land from the adverse effects of climate change, we must ultimately dramatically reduce emissions of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases.

Natural disasters

                                          Natural disasters

"A disaster is a natural or man-made event that negatively affects life, property, livelihood or industry often resulting in permanent changes to human societies, ecosystems and environment." Deforestation and many mis utilization of natural resources leads to natural disasters. Not only humans are responsible  for natural disaster. But human bad activities affect the environment.

Certain types of natural disasters are more likely to occur in particular parts of the world. For instance, areas near coastline, lakes or rivers are more likely to experience flooding problems than are land-locked areas. However, most every place you could live is prone to one type of natural disaster or another. No place is absolutely safe from natural disaster. And, of course it goes without saying, that no place is safe from the threat of terrorism and other man-made disaster events.

It may be impossible to avoid disasters, but it isn't impossible to plan ahead of time so as to minimize the impact that any given disaster might have on you or your family's health, safety and property. There are steps you can take ahead of time, including, purchasing the proper types of insurance, preparing a disaster kit and supplies, making a disaster plan and rehearsing it with your family, and staying informed so that you can do your best to get out of the way of predictable dangerous occurrences, that can help you, your family, and your property stay as safe as possible.

Physical excercise

                                       Physical excercise

I am for physical exercise that should be a required part of every school day. Physical exercise means good health for pupils during the whole day and even the whole life. Physical exercise helps us to have good muscles and to be fit too. If a person does physical exercise systematically and regularly, it will be easy for him/her to learn new material, to gain new knowledge, to be better than s/he is.

I can give you example from my own experience since I changed three schools during my school education because of different private reasons. Different schools have different approaches concerning physical exercise. In two of them we had physical training lessons twice a week, and not all of them were in the morning. But in my favourite school besides these two regular physical trainings, we had physical exercise for 15 minutes every morning before lessons. All pupils from our school gathered near the school on the school play ground if the weather was fine and had meeting for 5 minutes that was dedicated for school’s news and after that we had physical exercise. In case of bad weather we had such meeting in our gym. It started at 8 AM. Sometimes we came there and were a bit sleepy and not ready to study since it was really very early. But that morning exercise helped us to wake up, to become energetic, to be ready to study, to be attentive and even to be healthy. After that physical exercise our lessons were more productive.

And personally I believe that physical training, going to bed on time, having a rest and good nutrition can help us to be healthy and more productive. There are even are some sayings related to that:
“An apple a day keeps a doctor away”, “Early to bed, early to rise, makes man healthy, wealthy and wise”

Bringing my composition to a conclusion I would like to emphasize and ask you to make yourself do physical trainings every day in the morning and your feeling will become perfect.
Be healthy.

Holidays

                                    Holidays
After work we require rest and recreation. Holidays are very important for people. We should utilize our holidays properly. Sometimes we have long holidays during big festivals, winter vacation, summer vacation etc.

Holidays may be utilized in going out of our villages or town. we go on picnics. We can visit new places. If we can't go very far, but we should visit some places which are near. We can learn many things when we travel and we get pleasure. We can travel on foot, by bicycle or in a motor car. We may go out for swimming, climbing, riding, fishing or hunting. during our holidays we shouldn't confine ourselves within the four walls of a room. Many young people nowadays spend their holidays either playing video games in their computers and they don't go for outing which is not good thing.

We may also visit the cinema during our holidays but we should not watch movies which are not knowledgeable.
People can utilize their holidays either they can go to see or play  football, cricket, hockey, tennis match. We shouldn't neglect our books totally on holidays, we should read some books. Holidays can be helpful in many ways for people to learn many things that are not available in the books.

Good manners

                                              Good manners
A man with a good manners is liked by everyone, but one with bad manners are not appreciated. Good manners lend a great charm to man. The most precious ornaments of  man are good manners. Even an ugly person with good manners is welcome, while a handsome person with bad manners is repulsive. Good manners are the sign of civilization. We can show Good manners in sitting, speaking, walking, working, etc.

As a rule, educated person are good-mannered, but all educated persons are not good-mannered. It doesn't means only the educated people only have good manner, those who are uneducated also have good manners.
Some people says people of villages are bad mannered because there is no schools, while the people of town are good mannered. But  it is doesn't applies all the time because there are so many good mannered people in villages who are kind and helps one another in a trouble. Good manner can be learnt at any age, but childhood is the best period of learning good manners. If we keep good company we learn good manners; if we keep bad company, we become bad.

Life is valuable, we should not waste our time. There is lot of things to accomplish in our life which needs good manners not bad manners.
